Who we are looking for
A motivated Storage and Server Systems Engineer with solid skills in managing server infrastructure and storage systems, capable of ensuring performance, security and business continuity. We are looking for a precise, results-oriented person with strong problem solving skills.
Main responsibilities
• Management, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux)
• Administration of virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalents)
• Management of enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel)
• Monitoring of performance, capacity, and integrity of storage and server systems
• Execution of backups, restores, and disaster recovery according to company policies
• Analysis and resolution of second/third-level infrastructure issues
• Collaboration with network and security teams on cross-functional infrastructure projects
• Drafting and updating of technical reference documentation
Requirements
• At least4 years'experience in system administrator or server and storage system administrator roles
• Excellent knowledge ofWindows ServerandLinux operating systems
• Skills in managingvirtualized environments(VMware, Hyper-V)
• Knowledge ofSAN/NAS technologies,iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS protocols
• Experience inbackup and disaster recoverymanagement (Veeam, Commvault, etc.)
• Knowledge ofActive Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
• Ability to document processes and procedures in a clear and structured manner
• Excellent knowledge of Italian
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
Nice to have
• Professional certifications (VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, NetApp, Dell EMC, etc.)
• Experience withhybrid cloudenvironments (Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Familiarity withmonitoring and automationtools (Zabbix, Ansible, etc.)
• Basic networking knowledge
